HEPA (Human Ecology Practical Area) Farmer Field School (FFS) is a pioneering training dedicated to strengthen indigenous youth. HEPA FFS lies at the heart of the 6 inter-thematic networks action of Mekong Community Network Action for Ecological Trading (MECO-ECOTRA).
Overuse of resources and the lack of a caring attitude towards Human-Nature relationships in many sensitive watershed ecosystems have been the major causes leading to land desertification problems, gradual erosion of social traditions, and the losses of ecological biodiversity.
Evaluation practical eco–farms of K3A students in FFS–HEPA on 24th April

On 24th April education group evaluated the farms of two students Thang and Udom. The group evaluated three main elements of each farm: diverse vegetable garden, terrace system that was in front of the house and banana circle on Linh Moc farm; diverse vegetable garden that was around the house, fruit trees and mulberry in zone 2 and banana circle on Ton Ka farm. The evaluation results were being discussed and graded by using the evaluation framework. Through the fieldwork evaluations it was able to know that two students understood and well applied the lesson learnt on the farm. About the lessons that related to the principles of eco–farming, we will upload with the evaluation results.
